Episode 10 Living Like It Matters

If everything around us is temporary, how should we live today? In this episode, we dive into 2 Peter 3:11–14 and uncover the call to holy living in light of eternity. God is not just revealing what will happen—He’s showing us how to live right now. This is a call to urgency, purity, and purpose.
Show Notes:
In 2 Peter 3:11–14, Peter shifts from prophecy to personal responsibility. After describing the coming judgment, he asks a powerful question: “What manner of persons ought ye to be?”
We are reminded that:
- This world is temporary.
- God’s promises are certain.
- Our response matters.
Peter calls believers to:
- Holy conduct – living set apart from the world
- Godliness – reflecting God’s character
- Expectation – looking forward to Christ’s return
- Diligence – actively pursuing righteousness
Verse 14 emphasizes being found in peace, without spot, and blameless. This is not about perfection, but about intentional living—aligning our lives with God’s will.
We don’t live holy lives to earn salvation, but because we understand what’s coming.

Application Questions:
- If you truly believed everything in this world will pass away, what would you change about how you live?
- What does “holy conversation” look like in your daily life?
- Are you actively preparing for Christ’s return, or passively drifting?
- What areas of your life need to be more “without spot and blameless”?
- How can you live with both urgency and peace?
⸻
Short Prayer:
Lord, help me to live with eternity in mind. Teach me to walk in holiness and godliness, not out of fear, but out of love for You. Shape my life so that when You return, I am found in peace, faithful and ready. Amen.
⸻
Key Verse (KJV):
2 Peter 3:11
“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,”
