Witnessing Episodes

Often times, the world looks at the Christian as the bad guy. Why? Because we expose sin, and tell others about Jesus and His forgiveness. It’s because we go against the flow, we don’t walk in the same way as the world walks. In todays episode, we look at what it means to walk for Jesus in the dark world. Are we a troubler? Or are we a truth teller?

No power on earth can silence the truth of the Gospel. Even when the apostles were imprisoned and threatened, they kept proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness and faith. In this episode, we look at how the Gospel continues to spread despite opposition, persecution, or fear—and how believers today are called to carry that same unstoppable message with courage and conviction.

In this episode, we’re diving into the story of Peter’s denial of Jesus — a moment of fear, pressure, and regret that mirrors the struggles many of us face when our faith is tested. Yet, Peter’s story doesn’t end in failure; it becomes a powerful testimony of grace and transformation. We’ll explore what it means to be bold in your faith, even when it’s unpopular or uncomfortable, and how the Holy Spirit gives us courage to stand firm and speak truth in love.

One thing we see throughout the Gospels is that Jesus took time to be alone with the Father in prayer. Jesus spent countless hours ministering to the people in Israel, but He also always took time for prayer. By spending time in prayer, we not only draw close to God, but we have an understanding of our calling. When was the last time you prayed?

We reflect on Jesus' powerful teaching in Mark chapter one, where His authority astonished the people in Capernaum. What does it mean to be amazed by His doctrine and power? We challenge ourselves to consider how we can bring that same sense of wonder into our church experiences today. What if we allowed God to disrupt our routines and expectations? As we ponder these questions, let’s commit to being the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities. Tune in and be inspired to share your faith in fresh and transformative ways!

Jesus entered the synagogue and taught as one who had authority is what we read in Mark 1:21-22 and the people were astonished because He taught better than the scribes the people were used to. Why is that? Because Jesus knew the Scriptures and knew the message God had given Him. We need to follow the leading of God when we tell others about Jesus. If God calls you to share your faith with someone, then God will give you the words to say. Your part is to be obedient

Could it be that we have our focus on the wrong thing? Jesus calls His first disciples and told them He’d make them fishers of men. Fishing they understood. Jesus didn’t use bait, He simply called people to repentance. Our focus must shift from using “bait” to call people to Christ, and use the Gospel to call people to repentance. When Peter and the disciples went fishing in John 21, they caught nothing. When they followed Jesus’ instructions, they caught so much that their nets began to break. Maybe we need to follow Jesus’ calling to repent and believe.
