In this behind-the-scenes episode, I take you along as I prepare “When Prayer Changes the Story,” based on 2 Kings 20:1–6 (KJV).

Hezekiah received what appeared to be a final word: “Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.” But Hezekiah prayed—and God heard his prayer, saw his tears, and changed the story.

The message isn’t that prayer gives us control over God. It’s that prayer gives us access to the God who is always in control.

“I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee.”
