Episode 2 When Obedience Opens Your Eyes

Episode 2 When Obedience Opens Your Eyes

Sometimes the breakthrough doesn’t come with a miracle in the moment—it comes with a command.

In this episode, we continue our series From Darkness to Sight by exploring the moment Jesus told the blind man to go and wash. It wasn’t instant. It required movement, obedience, and trust before sight ever came.

We connect this moment with Naaman dipping in the Jordan, the woman with the issue of blood pressing through the crowd, and the friends who carried a paralyzed man to Jesus. Each story reminds us of a powerful truth: faith acts, even when it doesn’t yet see.

If you’ve been waiting on God to move, this episode will challenge you to ask:
“What has God already told me to do?”

Show Notes

🔹 Main Theme:

Obedience is often the bridge between darkness and sight.

🔹 Scripture References:

  • John 9:7–8
  • 2 Kings 5 (Naaman)
  • Luke 8:43–48 (Woman with the issue of blood)
  • Mark 2:1–5 (Paralyzed man and his friends)

🔹 Key Points:

1. The Instruction Comes Before the Miracle

Jesus gave a command before giving sight. The man had to act without proof.

2. Obedience Doesn’t Always Make Sense

  • Naaman expected something dramatic—but received a simple command.
  • God’s instructions may challenge pride, logic, or comfort.

3. Faith Moves Even in Uncertainty

  • The woman pressed through the crowd
  • The friends tore open a roof
  • The blind man walked to a pool he couldn’t see

4. Your Breakthrough May Be On the Other Side of Action

Delayed obedience can delay revelation.

Application Questions

  1. What has God asked me to do that I haven’t acted on yet?
  1. Am I waiting for clarity before I move, instead of trusting Him?
  1. What step of faith can I take today—even if I don’t see the outcome?
  1. Is pride, fear, or doubt holding me back from obedience?
  1. Who can help carry me (or who can I help carry) in faith?

Short Prayer

Lord, help me to trust You enough to obey—even when I don’t understand. Give me the courage to move when You speak, and the faith to act before I see results. Open my eyes as I walk in obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
