Confession Nothing to Hide

We all have things we would rather keep hidden\. Things we’ve said, done, thought, or allowed into our hearts that we would rather nobody else know about\. But Scripture reminds us that nothing is hidden from God\. Romans 3:23 tells us that **all have sinned**\. Psalm 90:8 reminds us that even our secret sins are before God\. Jeremiah 16:17 says that our ways are not hidden from Him\. So if God already knows everything, why does He call us to confess? Because confession isn’t about informing God\. **It’s about being honest with God\.** In this episode, we’ll look at what the Bible says about confession, the danger of covering our sins, the freedom that comes from acknowledging them, and the incredible promise of 1 John 1:9—that God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness\.

Watch and Pray

In this first part of a two-part series, we begin comparing how Jesus and Peter responded to temptation on the same night—but with very different outcomes. While Jesus remained spiritually alert in the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter slept through the moment that mattered most. Focusing on Matthew 26:40–41, we uncover Jesus’ warning: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.” Peter’s failure wasn’t sudden—it was the result of spiritual unpreparedness. Through Luke 22:31–34 and Luke 22:61–62, we see how overconfidence, lack of prayer, and spiritual fatigue led to denial. This episode challenges us to examine our own readiness. Are we watching? Are we praying? Or are we drifting into temptation unprepared?
